Calling All Choristers
COVENTRY CATHEDRAL CHOIR's new choristers for 2010 appear in the photographs above. The photograph below was taken at the televised Midnight Service rehearsal on Christmas Eve 1988. On television the Cathedral Choir was joined by members of the music group Incantation who the previous year had composed and played a Liberation Mass as part of the Cathedral's Silver Jubilee celebrations.
All the singers pictured here will be welcomed at a Grand Ex-chorister Reunion in May 2022 together with all other former choristers of the Cathedral Choir.
No one has a complete contact list of former Cathedral choristers, so if you know any ex-chorister, please mention the Grand Reunion to him or her. To get in touch with all Cathedral ex-choristers we need to spread the word of this event far and wide, so let's do our best to get the message out.
Former Cathedral choristers are asked to pass their contact details to Mike Smith, who was himself a Cathedral chorister back in 1962. Mike is collecting ex-chorister contact details so that he can circulate all ex-choristers with 2022 Reunion details once the plans are complete.
