in the John Laing Centre, Coventry Cathedral
Here is notice of the 89th FRIENDS Annual General Meeting 2025. The business Agenda follows this letter and a link to the Annual Report is provided. To enable the meeting to run smoothly would you please look through them and raise with the Chairman in advance any queries you may have.
ELECTIONS. Our Constitution provides for a rotation of membership of the Friends Council, so please get in touch with the Chairman if you would like to join. There are 4 meetings a year.
TIMETABLE for the DAY

| 1.00pm | AGM business meeting. | |
| 2.00pm | Presentation to the Cathedral of a portrait of Dean John Witcombe. | |
| 2.15pm | Refreshment Break. Drinks and light refreshments available. | |
| 2.45pm | "The Royal Maundy" A talk by Paul Leddington Wright, former Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral. For a number of years Paul was responsible for the administration of the Royal Maundy in his capacity as Secretary of the Royal Almonry, so he is in a unique position to speak about its history and give us a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes. | |

Almighty God, the light and life of the world,
We give thanks for this Cathedral Church of St Michael,
Raised up as a house of prayer for all peoples,
And as a temple to your glory.
We pray for all those who minister and worship in the Cathedral day by day,
And especially for our ministry of reconciliation.
Guide and prosper the work and witness of the Friends,
That through their activities and generosity,
The life and ministry of the Cathedral may be supported and sustained.
