Introduction

The Friends of Coventry Cathedral keeps members in touch through regular newsletters; talks, concerts, and visits and much more. We also have get-togethers to meet each other and have fun!

The Friends subscriptions provide help for the Cathedral’s upkeep and activities as over the past 10 years, we have contributed £50,000 towards projects – ranging from repairs to the organ to a new wheelbarrow for the maintenance team!

How does that relate to Pass the Smile, Feed the Hungry and Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre?

Friends’ Council Member, Michael Mogan MBE, wanted to help grow membership and recruit 25 new members by the time of the 61 st anniversary of the new Cathedral’s consecration on the 25th May. So for every new member, Michael is to donate £10 to Pass the Smile for Ben, to Feed the Hungry’s work in Turkey and to Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre. Michael is hoping that this will cost him £750!

So why the children in the picture?

Hattie and Alice have committed to create answer-smashes, rhymes and fun word games for all new members. So for Canon Gavin Kibble, they immediately came up with an answer smash: Canon Kibble’s first name and a hot curry? And a rhyme....
The Canon’s full name and Top Cat’s nemesis!?

All new members will help charities, have fun and get their own personalised word games!
