The Friends of Coventry Cathedral bind together all those in the Cathedral community, city, diocese and beyond, who are inspired by this special place.

We provide a focus for those who wish to connect with the vision and global outreach of the Cathedral especially through its ministry of reconciliation.

We offer practical help and gifts to enhance both the Cathedral fabric and its ministry.

We organise a programme of events enabling friends to meet together and also to foster a greater appreciation of the Cathedral, its history and its future.

Retired stonemason Roy Burnett tells the story of how 30,000 tons of sandstone was crafted through 1.2 million hours of skilled labour to build Coventry Cathedral. There will also be original film footage of the construction process

The Friends are organising a 'Spruce the Space' morning to give all parts of the Cathedral that added bit of spit and polish, ready for our easter visitors. There are jobs for all ages, abilities and energy levels: washing, dusting, polishing, weeding, digging… .

Friendship Concert

17:00, Coventry Cathedral

Kammerchor der Frauenkirche Dresden, one of Germany’s finest chamber choirs from our Twin City of Dresden, presents a one hour concert to include works by Schütz, Mendelssohn, Bruckner and Stanford. The concert will be followed by a drinks reception in the Nave and chance to view a powerful installation by artist Roy Ray ‘Where their footsteps left no trace’
