Carlo Curley praises Cathedral and organ

Carlo Curley gave a marvellous performance on the Cathedral organ on saturday night. A large screen relay of Carlo at the console was enhanced with a new projector which was a gift from the Friends and the Cathedral Partners.

Following the performance, Carlo was generous in his praise of the Cathedral and the Harrison and Harrison organ.

"It is a joy to have been invited to play in such a wonderful place and I am grateful to have been invited. I was completely serious when I told the audience following 'Nun Danket' encore that I adore that organ and count each and every one of the resisters as a close and personal friend!    Several friends remarked that I've not enjoyed an instrument and 'bloom' so much in a long time... and they're spot-on. Your place is now right at the top of the tree in my book along with Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, Bridlington Priory, Liverpool Cathedral, the Wanamaker Organ (Philadelphia) and Grace Cathedral (San Francisco)."
